Yin-Ju Chen's primary medium is video, but her works also includes photos, installations and drawings. In the past few years she has focused on the function of "Power" in human society, vis-à-vis nationalism, racism and group thinking. Her most recent project deals with the radical demarcation of the West and the geographical, ideological and political borders that define the so-called "western world". She often collaborates with the American filmmaker James T. Hong. As individual artists, they assist each other with specific projects.
陳瀅如主要創作媒體為錄像，其作品亦包含複合媒材、攝影，與行動藝術等。 在過去幾年，她的創作聚焦於國家民族主義、種族主義與歧視、集體思維（group thinking）等議題在社會中的權力結構。近期的作品則觸及東西方的劃界，以及就地理邊界，意識形態差異，和政治實體所定義的「西方世界」。
陳瀅如經常與美國導演洪子健合作,他們也協助彼此的獨立計畫。
