![]() Clamor echoes the basic premise and techniques of the SING series. Only the burning hot sun accompanies the viewer in the dry and uninhabited desert. What at first looks like an empty void, soon reveals several lonely and alienated objects, and even a whole abandoned city. Though the ambiance is stagnant and quiet, the blazing heat gives hints of a violent past. Pre-production of this work is complete, however, due to financial and logistic difficulties, the silk print is incomplete. |

![]() Sing (no.3) | Silkscreen | 100 x 62.5 cm SING is a series of photo works that portrays the melancholic and beautiful remains of human civilization. We see an abandoned gas station, broken stairs, and the dried-out carcasses of palm trees that were once living examples of someone's ingenuity in the desert. Even though these photo objects lie in the middle of nowhere, each has its own history. Each object was once a living thing, but now they linger as historical leftovers, unnoticed by travellers and passersby. By focusing on these historical remainders, the SING series is designed to inspire the viewer's narrative imagination. The silkscreen process was chosen as a warmer and nostalgic alternative to the artificiality and coldness of digital printing. Unlike the total control over digital printing results, the unpredictable textures generated by handmade silkscreen techniques, emphasizes the romantic and nostalgic quality of images. |
